Why is my cash balance different from what it should be?

With regards to your cash value online, this includes unsettled deals and is not a reflection of the actual cash position of your account. When you sell shares, we receive the money for your shares from the stock market on the settlement date and we don't credit your account with settlement proceeds until then.

If you want to see the true cash position in your account, you can opt to exclude unsettled deals from the calculation. To do this, please select the 'personalise' option at the top right of the account view, and click the button to 'exclude unsettled deals'.
