Question

What happens when you apply for a Subject Access Request (SAR) on a joint account?

Answer

In the case of personal joint accounts and partnership accounts, we will accept requests signed by either party.  If only one party signs a request, personal information relating to the other party will be removed from the response.

Where data relates to a limited company, the right of subject access does not apply.  Data Privacy laws are focussed on the individual.
