Question

Will Barclays Stockbrokers take Scrip dividends if they are offered?

Answer

All clients have the option to select to receive either a Scrip or Cash Divided when they set up their dealing account with Barclays. Scrip shares will only be received if this is an option on offer from the company issuing the dividend.

If your account is set up to automatically re-invest your dividend we will always accept the Scrip option if offered by the company. In this case the client would not receive any dealing charges as would be the normal procedure when a company issues a cash dividend.
