Question

Royal Dutch Shell (RDS) dividend

Answer

In March 2015, Royal Dutch Shell announced that the Scrip Dividend Programme was being re-introduced with effect from the first quarter 2015 interim dividend.

This means that shareholders with a scrip marker on their account will receive scrip shares.

If the client has an ADR marker but NOT SCRIP marker, then their dividend will be reinvested under the ADR, providing all other ADR criteria is met.

If clients DO NOT have SCRIP or ADR markers, then they will receive cash.

Dividends between 26 June 2014 and March 2015

Clients who had ADR markers on their accounts had their shares re-invested. All other clients received a cash dividend

The Royal Dutch Shell plc Scrip Dividend Programme was cancelled with effect from 26 June 2014, until re-introduced in March 2015, effective first quarter 2015.
