Question

I elected for an earlier ID of a takeover. Why haven't I received my proceeds yet?

Answer

For an event such as a takeover, the proceeds are usually released from the company registrar within 14 days of the takeover event being unconditional in all respects. As this stage is dependent upon the company receiving enough acceptances for the event, Barclays Stockbrokers can not guarantee when this date will be.

So whilst you may have replied to take up in an earlier stage of the takeover offer, ID 1 for example, the event might not have enough acceptances to be unconditional in all respects until ID 4 for example. An ID number is used by Barclays Stockbrokers to identify the acceptances made at each stage of the takeover offers.
