Question

What is a DAP?

Answer

A Dividend Access Plan is typically offered to UK shareholders by companies domiciled within the Republic of Ireland. Participation in the plan allows shareholders to receive dividends taxed under UK legislation (i.e. with accompanying 10% tax credit) as opposed to Irish, which would result in deduction of 20% at source at the rate of 20%
