Can a Direct Debit be re-instated?
Yes, you can complete and return a new Direct Debit Instruction to reinstate a Direct Debit. If the Direct Debit was removed within the previous twelve months, and your bank details have not changed, then further bank verification with not be required.
If the Direct Debit has been removed longer than twelve months ago, or if you require the Direct Debit re-instated on new bank details, then further bank verification will also be required to ensure that the bank account is still open and held in your name.
