What are the different ways I can add cash to my account?


For MarketMaster or ISA accounts you can make a debit card payment either online or on the telephone, send a BACS or CHAPS request or send us a Cheque made payable to 'Barclays Bank PLC (BBPLC)

If you are making a BACS or a CHAPS request please send the payments to the sort code 20-87-98  and account 80231207, using your MarketMaster or ISA account number followed by your name as the reference. The payment MUST come from your nominated bank account in your own name. 

If you are sending a cheque for your ISA, please also send a completed Additional Subscription Form.  This form may also be required when making a debit card payment over the telephone if you have not subscribed during the last tax year.  If you have online access the declaration can be completed also when making an online debit card payment.

If you would like to make regular payments to your account then you can do this by completing and returning the relevant form for your MarketMaster or ISA.

If you wish to contribute to your SIPP, the only method is to send a cheque with a completed Additional Contribution Form.  This form can also be used to set up regular monthly contributions by direct debit.

You can also fund your ISA or Market Master via a Bankers draft. If you are sending a Draft then the issuing bank or building society must detail the account name where the funds are debited from.

We can accept a bank/building society cheque or banker's draft if it is made payable to 'Barclays Bank PLC (BBPLC) and your name is also type printed on the Payee line by the issuing branch.

If the issuing branch does not have this facility, they should confirm on the back of the cheque/draft that the funds have come from your personal account and stamp this with their crossing stamp.

Please note: Payment should not be made via Barclays branches over the counter - unless you hold Barclays bank account.

We cannot accept Cash Payments or Cheque Payments from Barclays Branches.

Please send electronic payments directly from your personal bank account quoting your 13 digit portfolio number or alpha numeric ID.
