Are there any online restrictions on certain stocks?

We provide a wide a range of stocks through our online dealing service and we think that our coverage is fairly extensive. There are, however, some limitations placed on our service that are beyond our control.

While market makers are obliged to quote a price in a stock, they are under no obligation to provide an automatic price for an online, dealing service. Therefore, if no market maker is willing to offer a price for automatic trading, it will be unavailable for dealing through our online service.

The market maker also dictates the size available for trading online and this number will be a reduction on the size available for trading by our telephone dealing service. Stocks which have previously been available online may be removed or the size available reduced at the discretion of the market makers at any time throughout the trading day.
