Question

Can I fund my ISA using shares I hold in certificate form, or using investments from my Market Master account?

Answer

Yes, you can do both.  ISA subscriptions can only be made in cash. So, share certificates and any investments in your Market Master are sold and the proceeds are added to the ISA - the stock can then repurchased within the ISA if you want to continue to hold teh same investment.

If you hold a certificate you can post it to us along with an ISA Additional Subscription form and a CREST Transfer form

To add investments via your MarketMaster, simply provide us with your instruction online or over the phone.

Please note -  when we sell shares to add to your ISA, no commission will be charged, however you will pay telephone commission on any buy back within your ISA.
