Question

What investments can I hold in my Barclays Stockbrokers ISA?

Answer

ISAs are regulated by HMRC and you can only hold investments that comply with their ISA eligibility guidelines. These became more flexible from July 2014, meaning you can now hold a wider range of lower risk investments in your ISA.

Eligible ISA investments include: cash, bonds (regardless of the remaining term), funds - including money market funds, and shares listed on a recognised UK stock exchange including the main London Stock Exchange (LSE). You can also invest in shares listed on Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and ICAP Securities and Derivatives (ISDX) Exchange listed stocks in your ISA.
