Question

Can I transfer final salary pensions or other defined benefit pensions into a SIPP?

Answer

Whilst it is possible to make such transfers it is unlikely that the returns that can be generated via the SIPP would be sufficient to generate an income to match the benefits of a Defined Benefit pension scheme.

So, it is unlikely to be in your interests to transfer savings from a defined benefit scheme to a SIPP. We therefore do not accept transfers from these scheme.
